His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas Executive Governor of Taraba State who is the leader of PDP in Taraba State considered the report of the PDP Reconciliation Committee headed by His Excellency Ambassador Idris Waziri.
Therefore, His is informed that, the PDP Reconciliation Committee headed by Ambassador Idris Waziri recommended that PDP Constitution should be used to resolve PDP crisis. Hence, PDP Constitutional provisions will strictly be used as advised by the Reconciliation Committee.
On this note, His Excellency instructed all the parties involved in the PDP leadership tussle to withdraw their respective litigations to pave way for amicable resolution of the unfortunate PDP leadership crisis orchestrated by his resignation as PDP State Chairman prior to his election into the office of the Executive Governor of Taraba State.
Furthermore, His Excellency instructed all the parties involved, in the PDP leadership tussle to submit the costs of withdrawing all their cases at the various courts of law to him through the Deputy Governor of Taraba State His Excellency Alh. Aminu Abdullahi Alkali within one week from yesterday 22nd August, 2023 if possible.
His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas Executive Governor of Taraba State constituted fresh Reconciliatory Committee comprising His Excellency Senator Haruna Manu former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Rt. Hon. Kizito Bonzena Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Haruna Istifanus Gbana former Speaker Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Iliya Ibrahim Agabi former Deputy Chairman of PDP in Taraba State to interface with Alh. Inuwa Bakari Acting Chairman of PDP Taraba State and embattled Alh. Abubakar Bawa former Special Adviser on Political Matters to former Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku who was appointed PDP State Chairman as soon as possible and report back to His Excellency in order to foster amicable resolution of the PDP crisis going forward.
PDP State Executive Committee amongst other issues resolved to face the forthcoming Local Government Area Council general election and the Jalingo, Yorro and Zing Federal Constituency Election under a United PDP family devoid of PDP leadership tussle moving forward without prejudices.
All members of the PDP State Executive Committee in attendance applauded His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas’s democratic leadership style and promised total loyalty to His Excellency in order to move Taraba State forward.
The first PDP State Executive Committee meeting of the current State Working Committee under the watch of His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas Executive Governor of Taraba State ended in peace as the meeting started in peace with all parties involved hopeful for amicable resolution in order to focus on the forthcoming Local Government Area Council primaries and general election slated to hold on 14th October, 2023 and the Jalingo, Yorro and Zing Federal Constituency inview respectively.
