Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has revealed some of the steps she took before becoming famous.
The renowned culinary expert revealed that she auditioned for the Big Brother Naija reality show five times but was rejected.
She made this known during an interview on Cool FM’s show, ‘The Big Friday Show’, which was hosted by reality show star, Natacha Akide, also known as Tacha.
According to Hilda Baci, the purpose of putting in for the reality show was to become famous.
She added that she had the cook-a-thon in mind but she wanted to try the reality show out first.
“I actually tried to get on Big Brother Naija for a while. I think I auditioned about four or five times, but was rejected.
“The plan for the cook-a-thorn was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thorn,” she stated.
