GOV AGBU KEFAS RECEIVES REPORTS OF COMMITTEE ON SCREENING AND SELECTION OF HEAD OF SERVICE, FORMS RESPONSIVE CIVIL SERVICE MONITORING TEAM By Hassan Garba

The Taraba State Governor Dr Agbu Kefas has received the report of the committee on the screening, and recommendation of suitable candidates for the office of the Head of Service.
The Committee submitted its report this Sunday at the exco Chamber Government House Jalingo.
It would be recalled that the Governor of Taraba State Dr Agbu Kefas on the Fifth of January 2024 inaugurated a committee to screen, and recommend candidates for the office of Head of Civil Service of the state.

Receiving the report, Gov Agbu Kefas observed that the civil service in the state is in a slumber and warned the civil servants to sit up to their duties.
He converted the committee to a team named the Responsive Civil Service Monitoring Team and urged them to suggest areas of training and capacity building for the civil servants.
The Governor directed that an office accommodation be given to the team, with a vehicle, and that their assignments will last for six months.
He said he is going to act on the reports and do the needful.
Earlier, the Chairman of the committee, Mr Danladi Kifasi told the Governor that there is a gap in the state civil service and needs attention.
He also informed the Governor that there is also a need for training and capacity building of the Civil Servants to drive the vision of the Governor to actualization.
The occasion was attended by senior government officials of the Taraba State government.
