Government Council Muhammed Ajibu has giving teachers a pat on the back for impacting knowledge in the society.

The Ibi Local Government Council Boss was speaking at a three day training for mathematics and science subjects teachers of public primary schools organized by Kwararafa Galaxy Club.

Ajibu, advised teachers to avail themselves for training and retraining to equip themselves.

Commenting,the project officer of TY Danjuma Foundation Associate Professor Zaku Sabo said quality education on science and Mathematics would provide the bedrock for rapid industrialization.

Zaku,explained that most African countries are aspiring to be among develop nations hence the reason for the emphasis on science and Mathematics education as embarked upon by Kwararafa Galaxy club project funded by TY Danjuma Foundation.

He disclosed that to improve the quality of science and Mathematics in primary school, there is need for primary school teachers to regularly update their skills and knowledge in science and Mathematics through regular training,seminars and workshop.

On his part,State Coordinator of TY Danjuma Foundation Emmanuel Ishaku said the foundation is focusing on improving the skills of teachers to quality education.

Ishaku pleaded with the state government to always improve the quality of teachers by training and retraining for them to perform optimally.

In his presentation, Doctor Adashu Gani of the Federal University Wukari, maintained that education play a major role in the development of the society.

He said pupils of primary school age are better placed to learn science subjects.

Adashu,charged teachers at the primary school level to make science education interesting, meaningful and useful for students.
