“Governor Sanwo-Olu Expresses Condolences Over the Passing of GAC Leader Olusi’s Wife”

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, the leader of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), following the passing of his beloved wife, Alhaja Mariam Iyabo Olusi, on Saturday.

The Governor expressed his deep sadness at the loss of Alhaja Olusi, describing it as a personal and collective loss to him, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the entire political family of the All Progressives Congress, and the people of Lagos State.

In an official statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu reflected on the profound truth that life and death are constant human experiences, even though they are often deeply challenging when we lose our loved ones. However, he found solace in the fact that Alhaja Olusi had led a good life and left behind a lasting legacy. The Governor encouraged Prince Olusi and the extended family to embrace this legacy and find happiness in it.

He shared his condolences, saying, “It is with a deep sense of sorrow that I commiserate with our leader and father, Alhaji Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, on the passing of his beloved wife and matriarch of the family, Alhaja Mariam Iyabo Olusi, today, the 14th day of October, 2023.

“Alhaja was not just a wife and mother, but a soulmate and a strong support for our leader, Prince Tajudeen Olusi. She epitomized humility, compassion, and embodied the essence of motherhood in the Olusi Royal dynasty. She was supportive of everyone who came into contact with her during her lifetime.

“It is a profound loss for the Olusi family, but we must remember what Allah says in the Holy Quran: ‘Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un’… ‘Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we return.’

“On behalf of my dear wife, Ibijoke, leaders, executives, and members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, as well as the good people and Government of Lagos State, I commiserate with our leader, Alhaji Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi on the demise of his beloved wife, Alhaja Mariam Iyabo Olusi.

“I pray that the Almighty Allah grants Mama Aljannah Firdaus and grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable.” Sanwo-Olu said.

This heartfelt expression of condolences showcases Governor Sanwo-Olu’s compassion and solidarity with Prince Tajudeen Olusi and the entire Olusi family during this difficult time. The Governor’s words remind us of the importance of celebrating the legacy left by loved ones while offering comfort and support to those who are grieving.
