Taraba State Government has stepped-up efforts to restore the famous Nwonyo International Fishing and Cultural Festival, Ibi.

The state Government through the ministry of Heritage and Ecotourism has put machinery in motion to revive the popular Nwonyo International Fishing and Cultural billed for April 19th-20th, 2024.
Earlier today, the Hon Comssioner, ministry of Heritage and Ecotourism, Hon Joseph Titus Nagombe was sighted alongside Hon Illiya Muhammed, the Chairman Ibi LGA who doubles as Chairman Field Committee on Nwonyo Fishing Festival at the venue of the festival as it undergoes rehabilitation; clearing of the lake, renovation of motels, round huts, pavilion, fish scaling ground among others.
