The State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mrs Neido Geoffrey Kafulto disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the council meeting that held in the Government House, Yola.
Mrs Geoffrey said the approval by the council for the emergency procurement of the buses was to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on students in the state.
She added that the blue bird buses would be procured by Vokna Investment and Real Estate Abuja and they are expected to be supplied within 7 working days.
The Commissioner further said the buses will be used to convey students within the metropolis to make going to school easier and cheaper.
She said the decision was borne out of the successes recorded by Freshair Transportation reeled out to offer cheaper and affordable transportation to citizens.
The meeting was presided over by the President in Council, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
