Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has made a return to social media following Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final game against Cote d’Ivoire.
The Nation reported Iwobi deleted all his Instagram posts over criticism that greeted his performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 27-year-old was the subject of cyberbullying from Nigerian fans following the Super Eagles’ 2-1 final defeat to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
The Fulham star, however, received support from his teammates, the Nigeria Football Federation, and the Sports Ministry.
But weeks after, the Super Eagle returned to the platform, posting a video he captioned, “Lately”.
The video was a snippet of what appeared to be a yet-to-be-released rap song.
His post elicited a barrage of comments from fans and followers.
A number of his teammates including William Troost-Ekong, Frank Onyeka, and Kenneth Omeruo took to the comment section to show their support.
