STF Taraba Intercept Bags of Charcoal in Sunkani

Men of the special taskforce STF have again intercepted 464 bags of charcoal loaded in a trucks in Bakin Dutse, Sunkani, Kasuwan Ladi, Pamanga, Domkolon, Garin Yusuf in Bali and Ardo Kola Local Government Areas of the state.
These trucks loaded with charcoals were intercepted by the STF along the axist of the mention areas while on aerial surveillance.
This is clearly an act of deforestation considering the fact that there's a ban on suspension of mining activities and wood logging in the state by government.
Recall that Governor Agbu Kefas has issued an executive order number three and later number five putting a stop to all these activities until guidelines are made available on how both mining and woods logging are going to be done in the state.
Taraba State is not the only state that have suspended these activities across the country. States like Adamawa, Gombe, Nasarawa among other states in the country have issued an executive order by their various Governors and enacted a laws by the state houses of assembly suspending mining activities geared towards reforming and improving internally generated revenues IGR for state development.
His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas reasons for the executive order is not far fetched from the interest and desire for building Taraba State looking at the way the state is interms of development.
Recently in a state wide new year broadcast, the governor in his quest to developing the state categorically stated that the task of building the state is not only on him but collective responsibility of the citizens of the state supporting his administration determination of actualizing his good intentions.
Succinctly , this menace are actually coming changing faces from adamant obstructors when His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas has issued an executive order number three and five suspending mining and woods logging activities in the state.
Charcoal making is really not too far from deforestation since they are both side of same coin.
Chairman Special Taskforce STF retired General Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa opined that the responsibility given to him by His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas cannot be frustrated by any one in whatever disguise form.
The retired general emphasized that all these activities must be stopped in the interest of the state adding that he will not seat and watch some elements deliberately truncating the good intentions of the governor.
These persons have device another means of felling trees that the Governor has already placed ban on them.
