EASTER AND RAMADAN SEASON: UKWE TAKUM CALL FOR INTERFAITH DIALOGUE AMONGST CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS
The Paramount Traditional Ruler of Takum, Ukwe Rimamnyang Habu Ahmadu II, has urged the Christian and Muslim communities in his kingdom to embrace the teachings of Easter and Ramadan for peaceful coexistence that will ensure sustainable development. He emphasized that both religious occasions are times for reflection, forgiveness, and compassion.
The ruler called on residents to join together in prayer for unity, peace, progress not only in Takum but also Taraba State and Nigeria at large.
Ukwe Rimamnyang Habu Ahmadu II stressed the need for mutual respect and understanding between the two religious communities. He encouraged Christians and Muslims to learn from one another as they serve the same God who desires love with a sacrificial spirit. Furthermore, he urged them to use their respective religious traditions’ teachings to promote peace and reconciliation while rejecting any form of violence or discrimination.
The traditional ruler concluded by emphasizing tolerance towards each other’s beliefs while promoting interfaith dialogue cooperation among all residents of Takum. In closing remarks, he reaffirmed his commitment to promoting interfaith understanding within his kingdom while urging all subjects to do likewise. By working together in unity with love towards building a brighter future for themselves as well as future generations can overcome any challenges towards achieving a more peaceful prosperous society altogether
