Governor Agbu Kefas has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to creating jobs for youths in Taraba state. During a meeting with protesting youths at the Government House gate in Jalingo, the Governor acknowledged the challenges faced by young people, including hunger and unemployment.
Governor Kefas announced various initiatives to empower youths, including:
– Ninety percent of youths will be empowered and engaged before the end of the year
– Education Trust Fund to provide loans to students in federal tertiary institutions
– Commitment of two billion naira to the fund
– Training on block moulding and participation in school reconstruction projects
– Electric cars from China will be distributed to youths
The Governor assured the youths that he has their best interests at heart and will do everything possible to improve their living conditions. He urged them to cooperate and support the government’s efforts.
Some youths who spoke at the meeting expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s leadership style and requested more platforms to engage and support their peers.
Governor Kefas encouraged the people to be their brother’s keeper and extend a hand of fellowship to those in need, promoting a sense of community and social responsibility.
