His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas has issued a Caveat warning to individuals perpetrating acts of lawlessness in the state.
He made this known after a security report on recent killings in Usmanu village,Karim Lamido Local Government area, which resulted in the deaths of two community leaders.
During a meeting with the Usmanu community, Governor Kefas emphasized on the government’s commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property.
He insisted that the government will not tolerate lawlessness from anyone, regardless of status.
Relatedly, the Deputy Governor, Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, also reiterated the need for citizens to be their brothers’keepers in their localities.
In tandem to the issue raised, the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State,Barrister Gibon Timothy Kataps, echoed the government’s resolve to deal decisively with anyone connected to the attacks and killings.
The Commissioner of Police in Taraba state,CP David ILOYANOMON, announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the incidents.
The chairman of Karim Lamido Local Government Council, Hon. Bitrus Danjos, commended Governor Kefas for his prompt intervention, which brought the situation under control.
Fighting Lawlessness and insecurity which is key for Governor Kefas agenda, the Taraba State Government has demonstrated its commitment to maintaining law and order. This swift action aims to deter potential troublemakers and ensure the safety of citizens.
