HON. DR AUGUSTINA HANDS OVER NEW CLASSROOMS AT GDSS MAYO DASA

Dr. Augustina, the Commissioner of Education for Taraba State, visited Government Day Junior Secondary School in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo. On behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas, she presented the school with new classroom buildings.

This visit was part of Dr. Augustina’s regular engagement with schools in the state, allowing her to assess their progress and gather first-hand information for the successful implementation and continuation of the state’s free education policy under Governor Agbu Kefas.

Upon arrival, the Commissioner was warmly welcomed by the school’s Principal, Mrs. Hasana Tende Danjuma, and the school community. Mrs. Hasana shared updates on the improved security at the school, praising the presence of Taraba Marshals, which has significantly enhanced safety. She took the opportunity to express gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefas for this beneficial initiative.

Accompanied by Mr. Job Julius, an EMIS officer from the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board, the Principal, and the school’s management team toured the new classroom buildings constructed as part of a project by the Universal Basic Education Commission/BESDA under Federal Government initiatives.

Dr. Augustina commended UBEC/BESDA for their efforts and encouraged the school community to utilize the new facilities for the educational progress of all children in Taraba.

In a symbolic gesture, Dr. Augustina, representing Governor Agbu Kefas, officially handed over the keys to the new buildings, empowering the school to make immediate use of the facilities.
