Let Us Continue To Promote Culture Of Inclusivity~ Nagombe Tells Omas School
The Honourable Commissioner, ministry of Heritage and Ecotourism, Hon Joseph Titus Nagombe who was ably represented by the Director Taraba State Art Council, Mrs Apunarimam A Tuktur has urged the staff and students of Omas Academy, Mile Six, Jalingo to continue to promote the culture of inclusivity.
He made this statement at the Omas Academy Cultural Day with the theme “Global Community” where he served as a Guest of honour.
According to him, “Arts and cultural education play a crucial role in shaping the minds and hearts of our young generation. It instills in them a sense of pride, tolerance, and empathy. It encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a global perspective”
“We come together to celebrate our cultural diversity, let us remember that we are all part of a global community. Let us embrace our differences, celebrate our similarities, and learn from one another”
On this note, the commissioner called on the school to continue to promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and appreciation.
At the occasion, various cultural performances were enacted and differet local cuisine were prepared for the students and guests among which were; Loni soul, Kumbi, KuKa, Kabewa, Karkashi, Egusi, Dargaza etc.
