Nwonyo Preparation: Hon Commissioner/MD Tourism meets National Assembly Members, Major Stakeholders And Other Partners In Abuja.
As arrangements are on top gear by the Taraba State Government to ensure the success of the famous Nwonyo International Fishing and Cultural Festival scheduled to hold April 19th-20th, 2024, the Honourable Commssioner, Ministry of Heritage & Ecotourism alongside the MD Taraba State Tourism Development Board met some national Assembly Members, major stakeholders and other partners in Abuja.
And as part of the commitment to make the festival a mainstay for the state’s economy and to reclaim its space in the centre stage of Nigeria’s festival calendar, the State Commissioner for Heritage and Ecotourism and the MD Taraba State Tourism Development Board have extended a formal invitation to Hon Mark Useni, member representing Takum/Donga/Ussa federal constituency, Hon Ayuba Aboki Zaku, member representing Ibi/WuKari federal constituency, Mr Kayode Aiyegbusi, FCT Director Council for Arts and Culture, Mr Ibrahim, the head of administrative secretary and Mr Danladi Kifasi, former head of service, Taraba State.
Relatedly, the commissioner and the MD also extended an invitation to Armaya’u Abubakar Dauda, the former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, and the current Federal Commissioner at Federal Character Commission, Dr Muheeba Dankaka, the Executive Chairman, Federal Character Commission in Abuja.
They all assured them of their presence at the Nwonyo International Fishing and Cultural Festival, Ibi.
The Commissioner and MD further discussed future collaboration with the FCT Arts and Culture Department and Taraba ministry of Heritage and Eco-tourism.
Gov Kefas’ determination to revive the ministry of Heritage and Eco-tourism, attract thousands of participants from all walks of life – in order to showcase the rich and unique collection of Taraba cultural heritage and tourist attraction areas at the 2024 Nwonyo Festival is evident in its preparation.
