Kefas Pledges Continued Support for Education in Taraba.

At the combined 6th and 7th Convocation ceremonies of the Federal University of Wukari, Dr. Agbu Kefas reiterated his commitment to education in Taraba State, pledging his administration's unwavering support for the growth and development of the sector.
During the ceremony, Dr. Agbu Kefas conveyed his felicitations to Awardees, and the Graduands for their remarkable achievement while emphasizing that his administration has made education a top priority.
The Governor outlined plans to recalibrate the education system in the state – with a focus on improving the quality of teachers at both the primary and secondary levels. He encouraged them to apply the values they had acquired to effect positive change in society.
The Governor went further to commission an administrative block of the University, built by the federal government.
In an address read on behalf of the Visitor of the University, His Excellency Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University, Professor Inuwa, expressed congratulations to the Graduands and distinguished personalities who received Honorary degrees during the convocation ceremony.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Jude Samanni Rabo, welcomed all the distinguished guests present at the convocation. He outlined all the achievements of the university and the challenges it faces. The Vice Chancellor thanked the Federal government for approving the university teaching hospital and thanked the former SGF, Boss Mustapha, for the role he played in bringing this into reality.
The prestigious Honorary Degrees (Honoris Causa) were conferred upon the following individuals:
– Boss Mustapha, Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF)
– Chief Obadiah Ando, Former Minister of Water Resources
– HRM Manu Ishaku Adda Ali, Matakhitswen, Aku Uka Chairman Taraba State Council of Chiefs
The University Chancellor, His Royal Highness Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, the Ona of Abaji and Chairman FCT Council of Chiefs, officially bestowed the Honorary degree on the deserving recipients.
The Convocation ceremony served as a significant recognition of academic excellence and the contributions of individuals who have made a lasting impact in their respective fields. The presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries highlighted the importance of education and its role in shaping the future of Taraba State and the nation as a whole.
