TCN Embarks on Critical Maintenance Exercise to Repair Damaged Transmission Tower – Power Outage Expected in Affected Regions
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a critical maintenance exercise to repair a damaged transmission tower along the Jos-Gombe 330kV line. This essential work will take place on July 4, 2024, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. TCN engineers will work tirelessly to reinforce the vandalized tower, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply to the affected regions.
The seven-hour exercise is crucial to restoring the transmission circuit to its optimal state. During this period, customers in Gombe, Yola, Damaturu, and Jalingo will experience a temporary power outage. Please be assured that TCN is committed to minimizing disruptions and will restore bulk power supply immediately after the maintenance is completed.
